Rallying

At the top of Goodwood hill is a 2.5 kilometre loose-surface rally stage cut into the wooded area close to the hill climb finish line. Around 40 cars from the history of rallying will provide a gripping demonstration of sideways driving throughout all three days. Star drivers will include: Hannu Mikkola, 1983 World Rally Champion and designer of the Goodwood Forest Rally Stage, who is expected to drive an Audi Quattro S1 and Ford Escort Mk1 throughout the weekend, Andy Burton, hero of British Rallying driving his unique Peugeot Cosworth over the weekend, and, Subaru WRC drivers Petter Solberg and Chris Atkinson will take to the Forest Rally Stage in the latest Subaru Impreza WRC.
