Janet Jackson nipple flash to brief for fine
A US appeal court overturned a decision to fine CBS television $550,000 (£275,000) for airing a brief breast flash by singer Janet Jackson during the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show. The US Court of Appeal said the Federal Communications Commission "arbitrarily and capriciously departed from its prior policy". Jackson's breast was exposed to 90 million TV viewers for a millisecond in what singer Justin Timberlake infamously described as a "wardrobe malfunction".
